On the selling side, they do pre-inspections for me on new listings. When a home inspector who also does termite inspections, they tend to require treatments on houses that have been treated before if the seller is not currently under contract, but I can call Planet Home Tech, and if there is no active infestation, they won’t make us treat again – saving hundreds of dollars that do not need to be spent. On the buyer side, they have found infestations in places that other inspectors have missed. The best part is the construction department that can repair anything – I’ve have them open walls and repair framing, and even had to make some truss repairs that required an engineer. They did it all fast enough for our business – which means permits, repairs, and certifications all done within a week or two to make settlement. There is NO substitute for this kind of expertise. I was pleased to use Jim at Planet Home Tech twice in the recent past. Both times I was delighted with job they performed. On one site they found there were no active termites when another earlier inspection stated that we needed to have the site treated. The first inspector came back and then agreed with Jim that there was no “active infestation” and that no treatment was needed saving us hundreds of dollars. On a second job Jim performed for us we knew we had termites and they were properly treated at a relatively low cost. The damage was then fixed for a reasonable price (two other estimates we received for the replacing the damaged wood were much higher) and the repairs completed were excellent. I have been doing real estate work on and off for over forty years and Planet Home Tech is the best termite company I have ever come across.
